Mogadishu, (insidesomalia.org)-So far 7 people were of the same family was killed and scores of others were wounded after a stray mortar landed at their abode in the former edifice of the ministry of national planning.

The combat was between the Somali transitional federal government soldiers stationed at Villa Baidoa and their antagonist in the capital, the battle started at exactly 11:45pm Mogadishu time.

Both sided exchanged different types of weapons including mortars, rockets propel grenades, ZU and other light guns such as AK47 riffles.

Some of the residents in the former building of the ministry of national planning confirmed for inside Somalia that three of the deceased were from the same a mother and her three kids, a watchman keeping guard at some business centres at Zope junction.

The wounded people were taken to Banadir hospital, which is not far from, were the horrendous incident occurred.

It is not clear damages between the two warring sides, thought they have been using ear bursting weapons, which the inhabitants in the area could endure and created immense anxiety among them.

The other major issue these people were scared of was search operation, which normally comes after raid to the government soldiers.

Somali armed forces commander General Salah Lif resides at Villa Baidoa where the attack happened last night, the dreadful combat subsided at around 12:35pm local time.

In most case when confrontations take place in the city the victims are all the civilians, and majority of the medical centres in the Somali capital Mogadishu are quivering with patients mostly ones with bullet wounds and shrapnel.
